主人公、志内則和は、生まれ育った町を出て行くことを決めた。
もう肉親もおらず、良い思い出もないこの町を離れ、新しい生活を都会に求めたかった。
しかし、唯一の心残りは、幼なじみである香月恵美佳の存在。
彼女とは小さい頃から一緒に育ってきて、両親を亡くしているのも同じだった。
彼女への感情が愛情か友情か同情かはわからないが、残して町を出て行くのに抵抗があった。
思い切って一緒に行かないかと声をかける。しかし、恵美佳はその誘いを断る。
